Liz Plummer is a textile and mixed media artist and surface pattern designer who lives in South Wales, UK: the natural world and the effects of light and reflections inspire her work.

She loves creating complex, layered patterns with lots of texture and colour and is inspired by the unpredictability of paint and dye on paper and fabric: the results of her experimentations often creep into her designs.

She loves screenprinting and block printing and many of the images produced in this media inspire the motifs in her surface pattern designs.   She also prints using a Japanese Print Gocco machine both on fabric and on pocket sized Moleskine cahier notebooks, and has been selling these since 2010 in her shop on Etsy.

She has been blogging since 2005 and has had articles published in the Computer Textile Design Group magazine as well as in online in Fibre&Stitch and Workshop on the Web.

She is a member of the Diverse Manners arts group in Newport, South Wales, UK and exhibited with them in September 2011 at the Riverfront Arts Centre in Newport and in Cwmbran in November 2013.
